As an executive managing teams in investment operations for a Canadian bank located in Quebec, my days are filled with strategic planning, decision-making, and overseeing complex projects. However, when I step away from the office, I immerse myself in the world of design and craftsmanship.
A Lifelong Passion for Perfume
My journey into the world of fragrance began in my teenage years when I discovered the powerful ability of scents to evoke memories and emotions. I would spend hours experimenting with different perfumes, captivated by how a single whiff could transport me back to a cherished moment or create a new one. This fascination grew over the years, leading me to explore the art of creating my own olfactory experiences.
Turning Passion into Business
During the pandemic, I faced a crossroads. The global challenges prompted me to reflect on what truly mattered in my life. It was during this time of introspection that I decided to turn my long-standing passion into a business. I began designing and creating yoga and meditation products, recognizing a growing demand for items that promote wellness and mindfulness.
However, my creative spirit was restless, and I soon began to delve deeper into the world of olfactory products. It was a natural progression, as scent plays an integral role in enhancing experiences, especially in practices like yoga and meditation. The soothing aromas can elevate a session, creating a more immersive and calming atmosphere.
Collaborating with Dominic Goyer
In this journey, I found an incredible partner in my life and creative endeavors: Dominic Goyer. Together, we embarked on the exciting path of crafting olfactory creations. We started small, focusing on a line of handmade candles that quickly gained popularity. The process was deeply fulfilling; each candle was a labor of love, designed to not only smell exquisite but also create a warm, inviting ambiance.
As we honed our craft, we transitioned from candles to pure essential oils, allowing us to explore a broader range of fragrances and uses. The oils opened up a world of possibilities, giving us the ability to create bespoke blends tailored to different moods and settings.
The Evolution into Perfumes
Our passion didn’t stop there. With our newfound skills and a desire to expand our offerings, we eventually ventured into the realm of natural perfumes. Each scent we create is formulated using only the finest essential oils and other natural ingredients. We believe in the power of nature and the importance of sustainability, so everything we produce is done by hand, ensuring that each product reflects our dedication to quality and authenticity.
From the initial concept to the final packaging, every aspect of our creations is a collaboration between Dominic and me.
