Based in Eastern Townships, the new company Hangar South, founded by Michaël Giroux-Cassivi, offers various products which all have a common purpose: to reduce stress.
Whether through meditation, yoga and olfactory creations, Hangar South products provide healthy and innovative alternatives to soothe anxious moments.
The offer includes bifunctional meditation cushions, which can be used as a soft yoga block as well as a bolster or with three scents - Leaves, roots and bark, inspired by a walk in the forest. These creations are available in meditative perfumes, essential oils, candles and diffuser blends.

Hangar | South has just launched its brand new eau de parfum, STELLAIRE, created by Dominic Goyer in collaboration with the formidable Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay, who wanted to pay homage to the forest that saw her grow and infuse it with the bliss that inhabits when she thinks of these moments of innocence and connection with nature. There are notes of osmanthus, blue spruce, hemlock, citrus and buddha wood.

“[Perfumes] make us travel vicariously to different periods of our lives,” whispers my poet colleague Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay, who in November is launching a unisex perfume with scents of blue spruce and citrus fruits, Stellaire4, fruit of a collaboration with Dominic Goyer.

“Having suffered from anxiety for over 10 years, I decided to share the tools that helped me get through the most difficult times,” explains Michaël Giroux-Cassivi, the brains behind the company.
The finds on our radar: the double-density meditation cushion - one side is filled with Canadian buckwheat and the other, organic cotton fibers - and the selection of scents inspired by shinrin yoku, the Japanese forest bathing tradition.
